Contrast and Quality Materials

For a kitchen located in the heart of the home, the homeowners, together with the kitchen designer, chose neutral materials and stains that would tie the kitchen together with the adjacent rooms. As there was not enough space to accommodate an island, the designer opted for a more spacious countertop attached to the walls that defined the unit, while making the most of the structure by integrating a pantry, microwave, and double-drawer dishwasher.

The space combines the cut oak body with the lacquer, with a magnificent walnut butcher block that adds to the warm atmosphere and accentuates the counter. The wood is a wonderful material that has the added advantage of absorbing sound, especially when dropping off plates and cutlery.
